Dose titration schedule

Wegovy is typically titrated upward to allow the body to adjust and minimize GI side effects. Most patients escalate one step every 4 weeks unless side effects require slowing.

How to take Wegovy

• Administration: injection-weekly
• Prescription required.
• FDA status: approved.

Missed dose

If you miss a dose by less than 5 days (for weekly GLP-1) or 12 hours (for daily), take it as soon as possible. If more time has passed, skip and resume on your normal schedule — never double up. Always confirm with your prescriber.

Tips during titration

• Smaller, slower meals during the first 2–4 weeks of each step up
• Hydrate aggressively — GI side effects are worsened by dehydration
• If nausea is severe, your prescriber may pause at a lower dose longer
