SUSTAIN 6 evaluated CV outcomes of subcutaneous semaglutide in 3,297 adults with type 2 diabetes and high cardiovascular risk over 104 weeks. Semaglutide reduced major adverse cardiovascular events (CV death, non-fatal MI, non-fatal stroke) by 26% vs placebo (HR 0.74). Established the CV benefit class label for semaglutide in T2D.
